Postmypost — a well-known service for creating, coordinating, and publishing content on social media (and beyond) that helps marketers, SMM specialists, agencies, bloggers, and business teams work 6 times faster.
Now Postmypost has introduced a new type of channel — Universal. This is a breakthrough for those who work not only with social media but also with other communication channels: corporate blogs on websites, email newsletters, publications in the media, PR placements, guest posts, articles on third-party platforms, and any other manual placements.
What is a Universal Channel and Why is it Needed
The Universal channel allows you to connect any content you publish manually to your Postmypost workspace — without API integration and auto-posting. Now the blog on the website, email campaigns, press releases, or articles in the media become part of your content plan, approval board, and calendar. Benefits:
-
Everything in one window: social media + blog + email + PR.
-
A unified approval process: designer, copywriter, lawyer, client — everyone sees the material, leaves comments, edits, and approves.
-
Publication scheduling: set a publication date — and receive a reminder when it needs to be posted manually.
-
Attach files: texts, images, PDFs, banner layouts — everything is stored in the publication card.
-
History and analytics: even for manual placements, you can see statuses, who approved when, and deadlines.
Imagine: previously the content plan lived in Google Sheets, edits flew around in Telegram chats, files got lost in emails, and deadlines for blogs and newsletters were tracked separately. The result — chaos, missed publications, and endless "where is my comment?". With the Universal channel, any material, even if published manually, receives the same level of control, transparency, and convenience as posts on social media.
Thanks to this, you don't just plan — you manage the entire communication flow of the company or client in one place. Forgetting to publish a blog article or send a newsletter becomes almost impossible: the calendar and notifications remind you of everything in time.
How to Connect the Universal Channel
Connecting takes less than a minute:
-
Go to the Connect Channel section.
-
Choose the Universal type.
-
Specify the channel name — for example, "Corporate Blog," "Email Newsletter to Clients," "Placements in VC.ru," "PR in RBC."
-
Save — the channel is ready for use.
After this, it will appear in your list of channels next to VKontakte, Telegram, and others. Create a new publication, add text, title, and description. Attach files: cover photos, PDF versions of articles, email templates. Specify the date and time of the planned release (so it is visible in the calendar). Send for approval: assign responsible persons, add internal comments. After approval — mark the status as "Ready for publication" or "Published" manually.
Recommendations for Using the Universal Channel
-
For corporate blogs — connect several at once (main blog + blog on Zen/VC/Telegra.ph). Everything in one content plan.
-
For email newsletters — keep email templates and landing pages in cards so they don't get lost.
-
For PR and media — create a separate channel for "PR Placements," adding links to published materials after release — for reporting.
-
Teamwork — use roles: the editor sees only drafts, the client — only the "For Approval" stage.
-
AI integration — generate draft texts through Postmypost AI, and then distribute them across channels, including Universal.
The Universal channel is a step towards making Postmypost a true hub for all your content, not just for social media. Want to speed up your content work? Check out our other materials:
