A new feature in Postmypost: automatic post reposting between social networks

Most SMM specialists spend hours duplicating the same post across different social networks. You need to open each platform, copy the text, upload images, and publish it anew.

But in modern SMM, not only regularity is important, but also speed. Algorithms promote active accounts, and the audience awaits prompt news: a promotion announcement, a response to a trend, or a reaction to an event should be released immediately and everywhere to seize the moment and keep attention.

The new repost function in Postmypost solves this problem. As soon as you publish a post on one social network, it automatically appears in other connected accounts without extra actions.

Why publication speed is critical

For any business, the regularity of posts is the foundation of promotion. Social network algorithms promote active accounts: the more often and stable the content is released, the:

  • higher the organic reach;
  • better the engagement;
  • stronger the audience loyalty.

Gaps in publications immediately affect visibility – posts are shown less often, subscribers forget about the brand. But speed is especially important in hot situations.

  1. Imagine: a new product or limited collection appears in the assortment. You need to tell about it as quickly as possible to capture the audience's interest and outpace competitors. A delay even for an hour, and potential buyers have already gone to another brand.
  2. Or a competitor launched a promotion, made a loud statement – your response should come out immediately and in all channels to maintain positions and show reaction.
  3. A client left an important review or asked a question in the comments – a prompt post with gratitude or clarification strengthens trust and improves reputation.
  4. Another example: a trend in the niche or a viral meme that fits your product perfectly. Such opportunities vanish within minutes, you need to publish here and now while the topic is still at its peak.

In all these cases, manual cross-posting becomes the main stopper: you open each platform, copy the text, load the media, check. Precious time is lost, and speed is decreased.

The repost function solves this once and for all. You publish a post on one social network instantly – as quickly as you are used to. And in a few minutes, it automatically appears in all other connected accounts. Full cover with no delays, no risk to forget a platform. You react lightning-fast, and the content works to the maximum.

How the repost function changes the approach to publications

Previously, cross-posting, even in Postmypost, required careful preparation. It was necessary to:

  • open the content plan;
  • create a separate card for each social network;
  • upload media;
  • adapt the text;
  • set the publication time.

This gave full control but took a lot of time, especially if there were many posts. With the new repost function, the approach has become much more flexible and simple. You set up the automation rule once, and then everything works by itself. You publish a post directly on the main social network as you are used to: quickly, without switching to Postmypost. And the repost function automatically picks it up and sends it to other accounts.

This is especially convenient when you manage 5-10 channels or more. You published a post on VKontakte, and in a few minutes, it's already on Telegram, Odnoklassniki, or wherever you specified. With the necessary edits through AI, if set:

  • shorter text;
  • emoji added;
  • hashtags for the platform.

As a result, you maintain your usual work rhythm but get rid of the routine of duplication. More freedom for spontaneous publications, reactions to trends, and creativity, while the coverage remains complete.

How the repost function facilitates everyday work

Imagine a typical day for an SMM specialist. In the morning, you approve 10 posts, then publish them in each network one by one. It's easy to forget to add hashtags for Telegram or shorten the text to fit the limit. Many of our users have already noted: after enabling the repost function, time has appeared for analytics and new ideas. The new repost feature opens up opportunities for efficient work: one post is created manually, and everything else happens automatically. With it, you:

  • reduce routine time by 3-5 times;
  • maintain a consistent brand style without extra effort;
  • react faster to trends – posted in one network, and the content is already everywhere;
  • minimize errors – text and media are copied accurately;
  • can adapt the text for each platform using AI.

As a result, the routine fades into the background, and you focus on what truly matters – growing accounts and interacting with subscribers.

How to set up the repost function in 5 minutes

First, go to your project in Postmypost. In the left menu, select the Automation section. Here all the rules for automatic actions are created. This is a basic step, without it, the repost function will not start, but the setup takes less than a minute.

After transitioning, you will see a button to add new automation. Click it. In the automation constructor, click Add trigger. From the list, select Social media event → New post. Then check the social networks where the trigger will work (for example, VKontakte or Telegram). This means: as soon as a new post appears in the selected network, automation will start.

unnamed-8.png Detecting new posts happens quickly – on average, within 10 minutes, although not long ago, delays of up to 4 hours occurred, but we have addressed this issue.

Select target social networks where the content will be reposted. The post will take text, images, and attachments from the original. If you need to change the caption or add something – insert a placeholder AI assistant block. It will rewrite the text to fit the style of a specific platform (e.g., make it shorter for Telegram or add emoji).

Save the rule. Now everything is ready. Start with one pair of social networks (e.g., VK → Telegram), test it, and then add the others.

Now your posts publish themselves. With the repost function, you only spend time creating content in one social network, and automation handles distribution. This frees up hours for strategy, audience engagement, or new ideas. Try setting up the repost function right now – the first 7 days in Postmypost are available for free.
