It is very important to track mentions of your brand on social media, and here’s why.

First, you need to understand that mentions of your brand are not just the reviews you ask for from your audience. It is important to keep an eye on every message, comment, and post that mentions your name, even if it is just in passing.

Why is this so important? Every mention is feedback, which means an opportunity to connect with your audience. People love to be noticed, and by responding to their posts, you show that you value their opinion.

However, it is equally important to monitor negative feedback. If someone expresses dissatisfaction or criticism, silence can be seen as indifference, which is not what your business wants. It is important to respond to such feedback, acknowledge the problem, and show that you care. This approach will not only help you connect with unhappy customers but also demonstrate to everyone else that you are open to dialogue.

Being "everywhere and nowhere" is not an option. If people are talking about your brand, you are part of that conversation too. Ignoring mentions about yourself creates the impression that your company is closed off and uninterested in customer opinions. This can scare away potential clients. People want to feel that their voice is heard and that their opinion matters to you.

Moreover, your responses and reactions to mentions are a great way to get feedback and improve your offerings. If something is going wrong, there may be flaws in your product that need attention. If customers say something you like, don’t miss the chance to use it in your marketing strategies!

With Postmypost monitoring, you can track brand mentions from social media in one place. Here’s how to do it.

To monitor your brand's reputation on social media, you need to track brand mentions to respond quickly to customer feedback and mentions, ultimately maintaining a positive brand image.

The first step is to connect your social media accounts to Postmypost monitoring.

  1. To connect accounts/groups/pages, go to the "Settings" section of the desired project and click the "Connect Account" button.

  2. Next, a window will open to select the social media platform. Click the "Connect" button under the icon of the required social media.

  3. After clicking the connect button, a request for access rights to the social media will appear. Click the "Allow" button.

  4. Once you agree, a list of accounts/groups/pages you manage will open (this and the following points only apply to VKontakte). Check the boxes next to the accounts/groups/pages you want to connect to the service and click the "Connect" button.

  5. Then, a confirmation request for posting stories and messages will appear, which is what we need. Click "Confirm."

  6. Once again, give permission in VKontakte.

How to respond to comments?

  1. Go to the "Monitoring" section.

  2. Under the selected comment, click the "Open Thread" button.

  3. In the field, write your comment and click the "Send" button.

Important! If one post has two comments from different users, this will be two dialogues. If the same user leaves multiple comments on one post, it will be one dialogue, meaning one thread of comments.

Using Postmypost monitoring, you won’t miss a single mention!

The main goal of this section is to help you not miss anything. You can mark the comments you have responded to as completed by checking the box next to the event.

You can also set filters for all comments and messages.

If dialogues with users in private messages are part of sales or customer service, the ability to add tags to comments and messages will allow you to enhance and summarize information about the customer for more effective work, and later filter dialogues by tags or those marked as "Important."

You can add a name, phone number, email, and any notes for each dialogue.

How to tag a dialogue?

You can tag a dialogue with any tag or mark it as important by doing the following:

  1. Open the "Monitoring" section.

  2. Click the tag icon next to the desired dialogue.

  3. Select the needed tag and click "Save."

To optimize the process, create "quick replies."

The quick replies feature allows you to use response templates for messages you receive from your customers.

To create quick replies:

  1. Go to the settings of the desired project > the "Quick Replies" subsection.

  2. Click the "Create" button.

  3. Enter the text of the quick reply.

  4. Specify where the reply will be used.

  5. Click the "Save" button.

  6. How to edit a created quick reply?

  7. Go to the settings of the desired project.

  8. Click the pencil icon next to the reply you want to edit. You can change the reply text and/or the place where it will be used.

  9. Click the "Save" button.

With Postmypost, you can easily track all comments and messages on your social media. Quick responses to mentions = loyal audience.
