How to Close a VK Profile

To set privacy settings on VKontakte, you need to follow a simple chain.

In the mobile app: go to "Settings," then "Privacy," then select "Closed Profile" at the bottom of the page.

For the desktop version, the path is a little different: in the upper right corner of the screen, click on the avatar, then go to "Settings" and choose "Privacy." Scroll down and choose "Profile Type" — "Closed."

If you only choose "Closed Profile" and do not change other settings, other users will not have access to only wall posts and personal information. However, there are a number of settings that can make almost all information about you inaccessible to outsiders.

What Information About Yourself Can Be Hidden in a VK Profile

Hide Birthday: you can choose how users will see your birth date: fully, only the day and month, or not at all

What is "Personal Space" on VKontakte

VKontakte has a feature called "Personal Space." If you enable it, the profile becomes closed for a week. Only friends or friends of friends can write and call, only friends can be added to chats and tagged in photos. Exactly a week later, the "Personal Space" mode will automatically turn off. However, if necessary, it can be extended for another week.
