Why artificial intelligence won't be able to write a really great text anytime soon

Lately, too much has been said about artificial intelligence. Is it really as good as people say? When will it be able to write great texts and fully replace humans? Where can AI-generated texts be used?

Let's start by answering the most obvious question: AI-generated texts can be used anywhere. These can be advertisements and regular articles, reviews and essays, fairy tales and content plans, business letters, and even programming codes. In short, in any field. And all this is done by artificial intelligence in a time much less than it takes you to write a text.

Alas, truly great texts from artificial intelligence are not always produced. Some even claim that first-graders' essays are more admirable! This happens only because many, encountering AI for the first time, write a query as they would in a search bar.

But artificial intelligence does not possess intuition and is simply unable to understand what exactly a person means. It is based on algorithms and patterns that require a clear formulation of the query for correct understanding. What question you ask is the answer you get. Hence, queries need to be formulated as precisely as possible. By the way, that's why AI will not completely replace humans: it is they who must formulate the queries!

For an example of how to formulate queries for artificial intelligence, I'll take Postmypost AI. Imagine you run a page dedicated to handicrafts. You need to prepare a review of online crochet schools. How to formulate a query? If you write "crochet," instead of a text telling about online schools, you get a text about crochet techniques.

But it’s worth changing the query to specify that you need a review of the three most popular schools with prices and training durations, as well as the features of each school, and artificial intelligence will provide what you need.

How? Why did AI give a completely unsuitable text the first time and the right result the second time? The issue is not with the intellectual capabilities of AI but with the accuracy of the query. Therefore, here's a life hack on how to write a request to artificial intelligence and get the desired result.
  • Formulate requests clearly and specifically. Avoid using vague terms or phrases that might confuse the AI. An incorrect example would be "Pasta recipe." However, "Suggest a spaghetti carbonara recipe with a step-by-step description" is correct if you need a dish recipe and not a recipe for making toothpaste.
  • Specify information in the request. Provide more details so that the AI can understand your request more accurately.
  • Use keywords. Indicate keywords or phrases related to your request. This will help the artificial intelligence better understand your goal and provide more relevant results.
  • Understand AI capabilities. Each artificial intelligence has its own features and limitations. Study the documentation or user guide to understand what types of queries it can process and what results can be expected. For instance, instead of "Music," it's better to write "Suggest popular rock songs from the 80s."

Artificial intelligence is a unique tool that, when used correctly, significantly eases the life of an SMM specialist, marketer, programmer, or even an ordinary school student or parent, saving time. The main thing is to compose the query correctly. The more complete and precise the formulation, the more interesting the result will be. In your request, you can specify the volume of text, the target audience, ask to add humor, provide examples, and much more.

Finally, here are some examples of queries that artificial intelligence will or will not understand.

  • Incorrect request: "Give me information about dogs."
  • Correct request: "Tell me something interesting about dogs so I can impress my friends at a party."
  • Incorrect request: "History."
  • Correct request: "Tell me an unusual story that will enliven my students in history class."
  • Incorrect request: "Content plan soft furniture."
  • Correct request: "Create a weekly content plan for a store selling soft furniture."
